Born in Sacramento to parents who were real estate investors and government workers, John Ruiz II, was provided with an extensive foundation for selling and purchasing single and multi-family dwellings. 

John attended high school in Elk Grove and graduated from Sacramento State University. During these years John was also a teacher’s assistant in the Sacramento School district. He also remained active in real estate with his Father.
